What You’ll Be Doing
* Carrying out scheduled fire door inspections across multiple residential and commercial sites.
* Completing detailed reports using digital tools and software.
* Flagging and documenting any defects, wear or compliance issues, following up on actions.
* Keeping accurate records of all inspections and findings.
* Working closely with site managers, contractors and residents to maintain clear communication.
* Staying up to date with fire safety regulations, standards and training requirements.
* Supporting wider fire safety audits and contributing to continuous improvement.
* Attending workshops and training sessions to further develop your knowledge.
Main Skills Needed
* Background in fire door inspection or broader fire safety (preferred, not essential).
* Sharp attention to detail and an eye for potential safety risks.
* Confident communicator — written, verbal and digital.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple inspection schedules.
* Proactive, adaptable and self-sufficient with minimal supervision.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
* Comfortable using technology for reporting and record keeping.
