Wood is currently looking for a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer within our Systems Integration team as part of Woods Consulting business unit support projects across the UK.
This is a requirement for hybrid working with Tuesday and Wednesday being based out of any of the UK Wood offices. This position will be for a minimum 6 month duration.
Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role
Due to growth across our SI business, we are looking for Senior C&I Engineers in relation to upcoming project awards for 2025.
We are seeking to hear from individuals who have engineering experience within Automation and Controls projects, who are driven by solving complex technical challenges for our clients.
As an experienced Instrument Engineer, you will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance.

Our Systems Integration (SI) team, work with a variety of high-profile clients across the energy sector. Delivering bespoke essential automation and control solutions that enable a safer and more efficient operation.
Within SI, we are architecting our clients' digital ecosystems to be inherently safe, cybersecure and operable. Within our teams we integrate client source systems across their IT, Operational Technology (OT) environments, securely pushing OT data into IT systems as a foundation for transformation.

Expected:
9. Bachelor's degree or a master's degree in electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering
10. Previous experience working in a project delivery environment
11. Knowledge with ISA Standards and other international standards for instrumentation and control
12. Knowledge of Field Instrumentation and familiar with PC based design software for sizing of instruments, preparation of requisition and procurement of instruments
13. Hands on experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) will be an added advantage
14. Strong planning, organising and execution skills
