We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled ITAM Technical Programme Delivery Manager to join their team in a Tier 1 bank in Knutsford on a hybrid basis.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
The VP Technical Programme Delivery Manager is accountable for the successful delivery of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) programme. A large scale, strategic programme in Group Technology Service Management (GTSM). Reporting to the Head of ITAM, the role provides strategic delivery leadership, ensuring complex change initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes while meeting regulatory, risk, and control expectations.
This role owns programme outcomes end to end, shapes delivery strategy, and acts as a senior interface between Technology, Business, Risk, and Executive stakeholders.
Programme & Portfolio Leadership
* Own delivery of multiple complex, interdependent technology programmes aligned to the ITAM strategic priorities
* Set delivery strategy, governance models, and execution approach across programmes
* Provide clear executive-level oversight of progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
Technical & Architectural Oversight
* Ensure programmes align to enterprise architecture, platform strategies, and technology standards
* Partner with senior Architects, Engineers, and Security leaders to validate technical direction
* Actively challenge designs or plans that introduce undue delivery, resilience, or control risk
Governance, Risk & Regulatory Management
* Own senior-level programme governance, reporting, and decision forums
* Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, audit expectations, and external regulation
* Proactively manage material risks, issues, and regulatory commitments
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
* Act as the senior delivery lead for the ITAM programme
* Influence and align senior stakeholders across Business, Technology, Risk, and Operations
* Represent programme status and outcomes credibly at executive forums
Financial & Resource Accountability
* Own programme budgets, investment governance, and financial forecasting
* Ensure benefits realisation is tracked and delivered against approved business cases
* Optimise use of internal and third-party resources at scale
Change & Operational Readiness
* Ensure delivered capabilities are operationally ready, resilient, and supportable
* Drive effective transition into run and long-term sustainability
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Essential
* Significant experience delivering enterprise-scale technology programmes in regulated environments
* Proven senior stakeholder and executive-level engagement capability
* Strong understanding of modern enterprise technology platforms and operating models
* Deep experience with delivery governance, financial management, and risk control
Desirable
* Experience leading platform or regulatory transformation programmes
* Background working closely with Architecture, Engineering, and Service Management leadership
* Understanding of ITAM operations
