Opportunity to join an award-winning business that has built a reputation for outstanding security services, based on its collaborative and innovative approach, coupled with the utilisation of highly professional and experienced Security Officers. The role entails carrying out security-related duties on the site of a well-established manufacturing company, while providing a 5-star, customer-focused service. Reporting to the Security Supervisor and Soft Services Manager, we are seeking candidates with significant security experience, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing or engineering environment. The successful candidate will be able to positively integrate with an established security team and have the interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments within the client Facility. The role requires working 12-hour shifts, both day and night, Monday to Sunday in a four-on-four-off shift pattern. The pay rate is £12.94 per hour, and the Bank holiday rate is double time.
To comply with all duties as outlined in the site assignment instructions and client-issued procedures. Including but not limited to:
* Access management including gatehouse operations.
* Visitor and contractor management, ID checks and pass issuing, utilise the Visitor management system.
* Carry out internal and external patrols, and vehicle patrolling duties.
* Provide a visible deterrent and remain vigilant at all times.
* Incident response and reporting, ensure all Security Incident/Loss/Accident Reports are completed in a timely manner.
* Compliance with Emergency Procedures and Emergency Response Team.
* CCTV and BMS alarm response and controls.
* Have a working knowledge of H&S, with the ability to assess and report potential safety hazards so that remedial action may be taken.
* Reception covers as required, including regularly covering breaks.
* Excellent customer service skills, experience working in a corporate environment or in a front-of-house role is highly desirable.
* Have a polite and professional attitude to internal and external customers.
* The ability to work independently or as a team, lone working will be part of this role.
* Accountable and responsible, understanding your critical role as the first response in protecting the property and assets.
* Calm under pressure, ability to respond and escalate matters according to procedure.
* Respond to ad hoc management and client-set tasks as required.
* Undertake regular training to ensure expert knowledge of the site procedures.
* Must be computer literate.
* Excellent level of English both written and spoken.
* 3-year minimum experience in the security industry or compatible work experience, such as military or policing background.
* A minimum of 5 years resident within the UK.
* Experience using Building Management Systems with the ability to respond to system alarms and notifications correctly.
* Applicant must hold a valid SIA Licence.
* Flexibility with shifts and willingness to undertake overtime.
