The Temporary Accommodation Service and the Refuge aim to help vulnerable clients by providing temporary accommodation and supporting them to secure and move into their own accommodation, in a holistic and trauma-informed way, building partnerships with external agencies.
The role includes providing a reception service outside normal office hours, responding to residents’ requests and enquiries within established parameters. Ensure the security of the building and residents by checking caller identities, recording all admissions and departures, and allowing access only to residents and authorized visitors. Conduct regular checks of communal areas and grounds, removing rubbish and debris as needed. Perform cleaning and caretaking duties when required, including cleaning empty flats, washing linen and towels, and removing bulky refuse.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. All staff are expected to share this commitment. Applicants for posts exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will need a DBS check before appointment.
