Job Description:
Work Flexibility: Field-based
We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering North UK.
Working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders. You will take an active part in customer education in the field, supporting the Regional Sales Representatives to achieve greater customer engagement and commercial success with our newly launched Neptune portfolio. You will actively pursue business opportunities to grow Stryker's business in targeted accounts, always displaying exemplary customer service and patient focus.
In this role you will:
* Develop the skills required to become an effective sales representative.
* Work closely with the sales team on driving compliance to current contracts.
* Learn and practice techniques to grow the volume of a defined territory through sales of the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
* Focus on market-leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
* Manage business in accounts within an existing sales territory and be responsible for the day-to-day running of key accounts.
* Become proficient in dealing with stock issues, instrument requirements, organizing loan kits, customer training, and providing guidance on the safe use of Stryker products within the hospital and operating theatre environment.
* Support other sales managers to allow them to focus on new business acquisition and account development.
This is essentially a training role with the aim to become a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets and business objectives. Initially, there will be no individual sales target; bonuses will be based on milestones/objectives and regional target achievement. You will support all products within the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
* Learn to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with national sales objectives.
* Implement and deliver training sessions and workshops on Stryker products to healthcare professionals.
* Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to promote and sell Stryker’s products, using basic selling, presenting, and negotiation techniques.
* Manage channels for product provision, such as consignment or loan services, to best meet customer needs.
* Provide excellent customer service within hospitals and clinical environments, building relationships with key personnel.
* Prioritize patient safety and appropriate product recommendations at all times.
* Work closely with the sales team and Business Unit Manager to ensure high service levels. Attend training meetings and educational conferences.
* Demonstrate ethics, respect, and professionalism in all interactions.
* Conduct trials and evaluations of products in theatre and clinical settings as needed.
* Record customer details and develop basic business plans to achieve objectives.
Job Requirements
* Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Commercial acumen and customer engagement skills are beneficial.
* Proficiency in MS Office and presentation media.
* Interest or background in anatomy and physiology.
* Ability to engage, influence, motivate, and work hard.
