Oversee the delivery of pitch maintenance and improvements at both sites at the Croud Meadow and Sundorne Castle Training Ground to the highest standards.
• Presentation of all pitches to the highest standard for matches and training schedules.
• Carry out general grounds duties including, but not limited to, mowing, verticutting, line-marking, aerating, divoting, fertilising, and brushing.
• Oversee the end-of-season/closed-season pitch renovation programme, ensuring the required work is carried out.
• Ensure machinery is maintained and serviced to an acceptable standard.
• Be available for the required training as prescribed by the football club.
• Liaise with the head coach and coaching staff daily to ensure pitches are appropriately prepared for training.
• Perform any other duties as required and directed by the Facilities Manager and CEO.
About The Candidate
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
* Qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management or an equivalent qualification - desirable
* Experience working on professional sports pitches - desirable
* PA1, 2a, and 6 spraying certificates - desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure - essential
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently using own initiative - essential
* Compliance with the company’s safeguarding policy, including an FA CRC, is required due to the immediate presence around the changing facilities - essential
* Willingness to work unsociable hours - essential
