Wilmslow Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care home located in Wilmslow, Cheshire, 11 miles south of Manchester. It provides care for 63 residents with diverse needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. We prioritize safety, comfort, and high standards of care, investing in the latest technology and offering daily activities and gentle exercise to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, receiving comprehensive induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. We pride ourselves on employing only permanent staff to ensure continuity of care, paying all staff at least the national minimum wage.
We are looking for a kind, motivated, and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. The role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, with a 30-hour contract available at an hourly rate of £12.21. The shift times are 08:00-14:00, with alternate weekends required.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, and sign necessary paperwork.
2. Follow all guidance from the Head Housekeeper.
3. Contribute to the home's standards for housekeeping.
4. Undertake general cleaning tasks and any other duties delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
5. Carry out laundry duties when required.
6. Ensure the environment is hazard-free and be aware of risks when using equipment.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the role.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous non-domestic cleaning experience and experience in a care setting would be beneficial.
2. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
3. Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.
4. Effective communication with team members.
5. Reliability and trustworthiness.
