NHS Lothian Staff Bank Supplementary Staffing Service are currently looking to recruit interpretation staff to work across the following specialties:
Interpreters (Band 4)
Qualified Interpreters (Band 6)
We are currently recruiting candidates who interpret and translate to/from English for various languages. In particular, we are seeking interpreters for Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Dari, Farsi, Kurdish Kurmanji, Kurdish Sorani, Kurdish Badhini, Italian, Pashto, Polish (willing to travel to St John’s Hospital and surrounding area), Portuguese, Romanian, Ukrainian, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

The Supplementary Staffing Service enables flexible working via a range of jobs that are available to book online or by phone. We are looking for individuals who are committed to the jobs booked, can provide an exceptional level of patient care and consistently demonstrate and deliver the values of the organisation.
Work would be allocated on an "as and when required basis" with different shift patterns available to suit flexible working. Within the Supplementary Staffing office system, there are no guarantees of a fixed amount of hours each week as this is a demand-led service. Supplementary Staffing workers can submit their availability in advance and shifts can be booked either online or by telephoning the Supplementary Staffing office.
