Our Tissue Viability Team provides specialist care to patients at risk of or who already have pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, and other complex wounds. The team plays a key role in promoting and educating colleagues in pressure ulcer prevention, tissue viability, and wound care.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional with specialist tissue viability knowledge and experience in wound care service delivery. This senior role offers an opportunity to utilize and expand your expertise within our team.
Under the guidance of The Tissue Viability Matron, you will contribute to the strategic agenda, manage and lead the tissue viability service at the site level, and provide or lead direct patient assessments and care related to tissue viability alongside managerial responsibilities.

This is a 22.5-hour post working primarily on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the Royal Liverpool Hospital site.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the delivery of tissue viability services at the Royal and Broadgreen sites.
2. Provide specialist tissue viability advice, support, education, and training to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals, based on current evidence, research, and guidelines.
3. Act as a resource for expert advice, manage your own caseload, and coordinate care from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up.
4. Provide clinical leadership and develop patient-centered, evidence-based care to improve outcomes.
5. Develop, promote, and monitor standards of care in line with national guidelines, ensuring all data requirements are met.
6. Collaborate with internal and external services and multidisciplinary team members.
