Introduction
ArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit Instrument Mechanics. The responsibilities include:
* Day-to-day maintenance of equipment
* High-level installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reconditioning of instrumentation equipment
* Implementation of systems within the instrumentation environment
* Completing tasks as requested by SAP work orders, notifications, schedules, and defect reports
* Performing advanced fault finding
* Accepting specific technical responsibilities during plant shutdowns and modifications
* Providing technical advisory and support to maintenance and production personnel
* Calibrating equipment such as transmitters, pH meters, valves
* Standby duties
* Development and improvement of products
Qualifications:
* Grade 12 / N3 / NCV 3 (NQF 4)
Experience and Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
* Advanced knowledge of instrumentation systems and maintenance of measuring and control equipment
* Knowledge of DCS and PLC systems
* ABB DCS knowledge is advantageous
* Rockwell PLC programming skills
