Senior Mental Health Social Worker - Ealing £40ph Hybrid
Location: Perceval House, Ealing W5 2HL (linked with Acton MINT Team)
Rate: £40 per hour
Hours: 35 per week (option for condensed hours)
Contract: Minimum 3-month assignment
Hybrid: Minimum 2 days office-based
About the Role
Join Ealing's Centralised Mental Health Social Work Team, working in partnership with West London NHS Trust. We're seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to deliver statutory mental health and social care duties, support colleagues, and manage duty on a rota basis. This role includes supervisory responsibilities and oversight of complex cases within a multi-disciplinary framework.
Key Responsibilities
Complete Care Act assessments, Safeguarding Adult S42 enquiries, and Mental Capacity Assessments.
Prepare Social Circumstances Tribunal reports and contribute to Court of Protection work (including Schedule 21A challenges).
Manage a duty system, supervise junior staff, and ensure timely interventions.
Work collaboratively with health partners and maintain accurate case records on MOSAIC and NHS systems.
Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Substantial statutory experience in mental health social work.
Ability to manage duty systems and provide supervision.
IT proficiency (MOSAIC and health systems experience desirable).
Strong knowledge of Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, MHA 1983 (2007), and Human Rights Act 1998.
AMHP qualification desirable but not essential.
Working Arrangements
Hybrid working: minimum 2 days in the office.
