About The Three Chestnuts School
We’ve opened a brand-new, independent school dedicated to supporting pupils with EHCPs. Under the leadership of our recently appointed headteacher, we’re building a team that shares our vision for delivering exceptional education, care, and opportunities.

We are looking to appoint a TA/HLTA to join our team at The Three Chestnuts School. This is a brand-new specialist SEMH day school, registered for up to 36 students aged 11–16 years, which officially opened in May 2025. Students are in school full days Monday to Thursday, and Friday mornings.

The curriculum offer is broad and balanced and meets the needs of each individual student. The school also offers a range of accreditation including ASDAN, Entry Level and Functional Skills. The more academically able students are encouraged to study BTECs and GCSEs.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant/ Teaching Assistant (HLTA/TA) to join our close-knit team.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with small pupil groups across both academic and vocational subjects and who shares our passion for supporting young people with additional needs. You’ll bring patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to learning, helping pupils to achieve their best outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

1. Have a strong understanding of learners with additional needs.
2. Support the development and delivery of high-quality, bespoke education.
3. Work closely with teachers, professionals, and care staff to provide a holistic package of support.
4. Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant
5. Experience supporting students with SEMH needs or in a secondary school setting

This is a permanent position, if you have right to work but with an expiry date, we are more than welcome to receive your application but please note you would only be eligible for an interim contract linked to your RTW expiry.
