SEN Teaching Assistant – Supply Work (Part-Time)Templecombe Area | September 2026 Start | £14.25 per Hour

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to provide ad-hoc cover across a variety of specialist education settings in the Templecombe area.
These positions are ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and can confidently step into established teams with minimal supervision.
With multiple SEN and SEMH provisions available, successful candidates will benefit from access to a range of educational settings, allowing them to broaden their experience while supporting pupils with diverse needs.
September 2026 is the anticipated start date, although earlier placements may be available for suitable applicants.
The Role
* Support learners with additional needs on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
* Encourage engagement with classroom activities.
* Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour support strategies.
* Adapt approaches to meet individual learning plans.
* Work alongside teaching staff, therapists and pastoral teams.
* Promote independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
* Help create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
* Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
What We're Looking For
Due to the nature of supply work, we require individuals who can hit the ground running and confidently adapt to different settings.
* Previous experience working within SEN or SEMH environments.
* Strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of autism, ADHD, social communication needs or behavioural challenges.
* Resilience, patience and flexibility.
* A proactive and professional approach.
