The Role
Were looking for aMachinist to join our factory team in Gillingham, working on the production and preparation of fire doors using specialist machinery.
* Hours:Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
* Contract:Self-employed for the first 3 months,with a clear pathway to a permanent position
This is a hands-on role where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are key.
What Youll Be Doing
* Operating and setting up CNC machinerywithin a production environment
* Assisting with the manufacture andpreparation of fire doors
* Working totechnical specificationsand production standards
* Carrying outquality checksto ensure compliance
* Supporting the team to meet production targets and deadlines
* Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What Were Looking For
* Min 2 years experience operating CNC machinery within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment
* Confidence using or learningcomputer-controlled machinery
* A quick learner with a proactive attitude
* Strong attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
* A reliable,professional approach to work
