What you’ll be doing:
1. Assist with developing detailed briefs in collaboration with the client and senior colleagues
2. Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis)
3. Undertake design and specification work and assist with preparing tender information
4. Assist with administering building contracts
5. Work on all aspects of professional surveying (including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall matters, dilapidations, access audits and FRAs)
6. Liaise with clients, contractors and other consultants (internal and external)
What we are looking for:
7. BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent
8. At an advanced stage for the APC Final Assessment with RICS, CIOB, similar, or recently qualified.
9. Have at least 2 years’ experience of advising on commercial properties either in public or private sector
10. A good communicator and relationship builder
11. Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
12. Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
13. Good AutoCAD skills and ability to work with new software and platforms to improve efficiency
14. Full UK Driving Licence
15. Ability to demonstrate flexible approach to work and willingness to travel/stay away from home for periods as may be required.
