Personal Assistant – Child with Learning Disability
We are seeking a patient, reliable, fun‑loving Personal Assistant to support our 12‑year‑old son, who has a learning disability and autism. He has limited verbal communication but responds to basic instructions.
Responsibilities
* Support Alex at home.
* Occasionally accompany Alex for walks around the local community.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs.
* Ability to communicate effectively with a child who has limited verbal communication.
Working Hours and Pay
* Approximately 6 hours per week during the school holidays.
* Flexible days and hours; negotiable with interested applicants.
* Hourly rate: £13.60.
Requirements
* Ability to drive and own transport is desirable.
* PVG Scheme membership required.
Additional Information
We are not the employer; the position is advertised by GCIL East Dunbartonshire on behalf of a private individual. Successful applicants will be employed directly by a private employer on a PAYE basis and will have statutory rights such as paid holidays, statutory sick pay and pension enrolment where eligible.
