Headstar is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Warrington, England, United Kingdom.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the purchase ledger, including matching and processing purchase orders, invoices, and goods receipts, investigating and resolving queries, and reconciling supplier accounts.
Responsibilities:
* Matching and processing purchase orders, invoices, and goods receipts (3-way matching).
* Investigating and resolving queries with suppliers and internal teams.
* Reconciling supplier accounts and keeping records accurate.
* Entering invoices into accounting systems, including both PO and non-PO invoices.
* Monitoring the purchase ledger mailbox and responding to queries.
* Circulating invoices for approval and coding.
* Supporting month-end activities such as accruals and reconciliations.
Requirements:
* SAP experience is an advantage, but not essential.
* Background in manufacturing or a similar environment is preferred.
* Strong Excel skills and great attention to detail are required.
* Communication skills to deal with suppliers, buyers, and colleagues at all levels are necessary.
* Ability to manage deadlines and stay organised when things get busy is essential.
