My client, a leading systematic hedge fund, is seeking a Cloud / DevOps Engineer to join their Technology team in London.
Embedded within a high-performing and collaborative infrastructure function, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the firm’s cloud environment. Working closely with senior engineers, developers and researchers, you will help deliver scalable, robust and automated solutions across a modern AWS-based platform.
This is an opportunity for a hands‑on individual to take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities from day one. You will be involved in supporting researchers within the AWS environment, collaborating with development teams on deployment and tooling, and contributing to infrastructure automation initiatives. Given the size of the team, the role offers significant exposure and the chance to quickly expand your technical skillset.
The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience within a cloud or DevOps‑focused role, with strong commercial experience in AWS. Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform is essential. A background in Computer Science or a similarly technical discipline is highly advantageous, alongside the ability to demonstrate strong performance in technical problem‑solving environments. Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python or Go is beneficial but not essential. Exposure to AI‑related projects is considered a plus.
Candidates from a wide range of industry backgrounds will be considered, with no requirement for prior financial services experience, although an interest in finance is expected.
