Position Summary
To fully support in the creation, review and updates of the Crane & Lifting integrity management policies, procedures, processes, and accreditations in relation to lifting equipment inspections.Responsible for the creation, management, upkeep, and routine audit of LOLER Examinations & Schemes.Responsible Technical Manager – Crane & Lifting to ensure these services are carried out in accordance with Inspection Body (IB) UKAS accreditation to ISO/IEC 17020.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Ensure compliance with company ISO certifications and accreditations and offer technical support and guidance to department in relation to Lifting Equipment thorough examination & inspection.
2. Manage the data, accuracy and technical content of management / lifting equipment inspection forms and procedures on Management System / document register.
3. Support & prepare for client, technical and internal audits to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and processes.
4. Assist with Invitation to Tenders for lifting equipment scopes.
5. Provide inspection personnel and other department Engineers with technical input for queries related to Crane & lifting equipment compliance, defect categorisation, acceptance criteria, evaluation and decision making.
6. Develop, manage, upkeep and auditing of clients lifting equipment examination schemes, as applicable.
7. Develop, manage, upkeep all written documents in compliance with applicable regulations, standards and client requirements with regards to examination schemes and the in-service thorough examination of lifting equipment.
8. Manage the technical competence, training, development, monitoring, mentoring and subsequent authorisation of lifting equipment Inspectors.

REQUIRED
10. Extensive experience and proven track record of lifting equipment inspection (offshore and industrial sectors) or equivalent.
11. Proven knowledge of U.K. legislative requirements (HASAWA, LOLER, PUWER, MCA).
12. Proven knowledge of local industry standards, guidance, and accreditations (BS, EN, ISO, HSE)
13. Proven knowledge of international industry standards and guidance (ILO, NATA, API, ASME)
14. Proven track record in the development, implementation, and management of examination schemes.
15. Proven track record in the implementation and management of technical competence, training & development.
16. ISO/IEC 17020:2012 Awareness training.
17. Recognised competence assessor certification.
18. Experience in fast paced work environment.
19. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
20. Ability to prioritise work independently and change priorities to meet operational demand.
21. Confident in written and spoken English
22. Flexible approach, team player with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
23. IT literate with very good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio etc.)

25. Degree qualified in an engineering or business-related discipline (preferably incorporated status if engineering
26. or tertiary qualification if from a business discipline)
27. LEEA Advanced Programmes.
28. Industry recognised safety qualification i.e. NEBOSH, IOSH etc.
29. Knowledge of the various NDT techniques together with relevant PCN / ASNT qualifications i.e. VI, MT, PT, EC, UT
