GSL Education Hull and working with a SEMH School in Market Weighton, who are looking for enthusiastic and committed 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistants to join the team in September 2024.

About the School:
The School is a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. The school is dedicated to providing tailored support to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering a positive and enriching learning experience.
They currently have a new SLT Team, who are making big changes, and looking for skilled and confident behvaiour support assistants to join them on their journey.
Behaviour Support Assistant role:
As a 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with individual students, providing personalized support to help them overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially. Your role will involve:
* Implementing behaviour support plans tailored to each student's needs
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
* Following EHC plans.
* Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
* Monitoring and recording student progress
* Encouraging positive behaviour and social interactions
What GSL Education are looking for:
We are seeking candidates who are:
* Passionate about working with children and young people
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Excellent communicators and team players
* Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of students
* Previous experience in a similar role or working with children with behavioural needs is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience working in schools or a health care setting is essential.
* Have a DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one.
