Who you are looking for- A candidate with 2/3 years previous administration experience at NVQ Level 3, with a high level of team working experience and the ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels and different backgrounds.
Any specific requirements - The post holder will be able to remain calm under pressure and work to demanding deadlines, as well as having the ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
Any other relevant points- The successful candidate should have a flexible approach to work and flexibility with regard to shift patterns and the needs of the whole department.
Any relevant skills and experience- Past administration and clerical experience essential, NHS experience desirable.

Main duties of the job
1. To work in conjunction with the Assistant Service Managers/Service Line to monitor and manage the Surgical waiting lists in line with the Trust policies and procedures, ensuring that reportable waiting deadlines are not breached.
2. Monitor daily PTL ensuring accuracy, highlighting and rectifying errors as they occur, escalating issues in advance (e.g. capacity problems) to the Management Team /Service Line as appropriate.
3. To accurately add patients to the waiting list, ensuring all admission details are fully completed, arranging admissions in accordance with clinical priority and breach date. To maintain and update patient records including any cancellations, suspensions, additional
comments or patient communication.
