Post-16 Teacher – Progression Classes (Poole)
Location: Poole, Dorset
Hours: Wednesdays only, 9:00am – 3:00pm
Start Date: Immediate start – ongoing until next academic year
Teaching Personnel are proud to be working alongside a welcoming and inclusive college in Poole who are seeking a dedicated Post-16 Teacher to join their team. This rewarding role involves delivering Progression Classes to students, the majority of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The aim of the course is to support learners as they prepare for vocational pathways and further education opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping young people develop the confidence, skills and motivation needed to move successfully into the next stage of their education or training.
About the Role:
* Deliver engaging, supportive and structured lessons focusing on personal development, employability and life skills.
* Work with small groups of students, adapting learning to meet a range of individual needs.
* Support learners in building confidence and independence as they prepare for vocational courses.
* Collaborate with the college’s SEND and support staff to ensure students make consistent progress.
What We’re Looking For:
* A qualified teacher (QTS, QTLS or equivalent) or experienced FE practitioner.
* Experience working with young people with additional needs or EHCPs.
* A patient, empathetic and motivating approach to teaching and learning.
* Availability to work every Wednesday from 9am – 3pm, starting immediately.
