Exciting Opportunity in Higher Education!
Our client, a leading institution in the Higher Education sector, is on the lookout for a Research Funding Officer to join their team on a 6-month temporary contract.
Starting in early August, this is a full-time role (35 hours, Monday to Friday) offering a competitive, negotiable rate based on experience.

Duties will include – but are not limited to:
1. Raise Purchase Orders on Suppliers and Sub-contractors
2. Raise timely and accurate invoices where required under funder’s and liaise with the Accounts Receivable team regarding timely collection of funding (Chase and process inovices)
3. Conduct monthly / quarterly financial reconciliations and take the required actions following these, including informing the Principal Investigator of any issues or risks regarding spend compared to funding, and report on any project risks
4. Compile milestone and final financial reports in line with funder requirements both throughout the life of the project and at the project completion stage and ensure that scientific reports are provided to the funder
5. To assist the Head of Research funding in all aspects of both routine and ad-hoc reporting requirements
6. Reviewing expenditure on accounts and review reports and project balances
Experience required:
7. Experience of working in a finance focused environment
8. Experience processing and chasing invoices and reconciling ledgers
Working hours:
9. 35 hours per week
10. Monday – Friday: (9:00am – 5:00pm or 8:00am – 4:00pm)
11. Can work one day from home per week
