As an Airline Field Service Engineer, you will serve as the trusted on-site technical representative for our customers, operating independently and remotely from GE Aerospace hubs to resolve technical challenges and drive success in support of our customers fleets. You will be embedded within the customer site, delivering exceptional service and support, and have opportunities to travel to support customer needs and to participate in internal conferences, fostering collaboration and growth within our globally dispersed team.

Responsibilities
* Provide Leadership and Technical Support: Lead programs and offer technical direction and assistance to the customers in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned jet engine product lines.
* Customer Advocacy: Deliver prompt, effective solutions that address customer issues and exceed their expectations, driving loyalty and long-term partnerships.
* Monitor and Improve Reliability: Track reliability and on-wing performance, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations. Influence airline stakeholders to implement critical reliability improvements.
* Enhance Maintenance Planning: Influence long-term maintenance planning to ensure the stability of the aircraft engine fleet.
* Interpret Technical Documentation: Support maintenance and operational activities by interpreting OEM and technical manuals.
* Evaluate Maintenance Effectiveness: Review the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify opportunities for training and improvement.
* Apply FLIGHT DECK: Utilise our FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement in identifying proactive reliability enhancements.
* Data Analytics and Reporting: Produce data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for key internal stakeholders.
* Proactive Maintenance Recommendations: Provide recommendations for proactive maintenance based on engine performance analytics.
Qualifications
* A Bachelor's of Engineering or technical degree from an accredited university or college.
* Experience working airline operations or maintenance/MRO planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or other related field
Desired Characteristics
* Technical expertise in aircraft engine or turbomachinery equipment.
* Experience using software or data analytics to make informed technical decisions and to provide recommendations to the customer or other key internal stakeholders.
* Self-directed with the ability to problem solve using sound judgement and critical thinking.
* Ability to lead and deliver result orientated priorities using strong project management, analytical, time management and prioritization skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to forge deep relations at all levels, not only with key internal stakeholders but also with the customer.
