Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and fostering a supportive environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
* Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each client's specific needs are met.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and needs.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication is advantageous.
* A strong command of English is required for effective communication with clients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for those required to transport clients.
* Experience working within a care home setting or providing home care services will be beneficial.
