Make a difference by supporting the regeneration of Greyfriars, Bedford, and other development projects. This role involves working with communities to generate ideas, co‑create proposals, and ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
* Deliver community engagement for regeneration projects, with a focus on Greyfriars, Bedford.
* Bring people together to address important local issues and co‑create regeneration proposals.
* Engage and consult with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
* Gather and share community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.
* Organise and represent bpha at public events, liaising with political stakeholders, local authorities, and partner agencies.
* Support customers through the regeneration process, including helping with moves to new homes.
* Maintain accurate records of all engagement activity.
* Work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends (with flexi‑time arrangements).
What We’re Looking For
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships and earn trust at all levels.
* Creative approach to problem‑solving and project delivery.
* Good organisation, planning, and project management skills.
* Experience in community engagement, regeneration, or social housing (desirable).
* Ability to work with diverse communities, including those experiencing social or economic disadvantage.
* Physically fit and able to meet the operational demands of the role.
* Patience, perseverance, and a positive, motivated attitude.
Additional Information
* This is a remote working position (home based), with regular travel to Greyfriars or other locations – with a flexible approach where you can cover other areas.
* Must be able to drive and have the use of a car for work.
* Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
