The Department of Built Environment and Life Sciences hosts the Biomedical Science, Forensic Sciences, Food Science, Nutrition and Engineering academic provision and sits within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. Our department is highly research active, consisting of over 30 staff delivering a range of undergraduate (Hons) and postgraduate degree programmes. The majority of our courses are accredited by relevant professional bodies. We are proud of the commendations we have received for our teaching, our sustained links with practitioners in all programmes, and excellent national ratings for student satisfaction.
