Following a very successful Spring Telephone Campaign that raised over £63,000, Birkbeck, University of London, is looking for a Telephone Fundraising Supervisor that can motivate and support our team of fifteen telephone callers during our upcoming Autumn campaign.
Birkbeck is seeking to build on the fantastic support of our alumni by expanding our community of donors and encouraging gifts that fund crucial University initiatives, including student support, widening access, advancing research and enhancing infrastructure - and you'll be an important part of this fundraising drive.
As Telephone Fundraising Supervisor, you will:
* Motivate and support a team of fundraisers to champion Birkbeck's philanthropic goals
* Ensure the smooth running of each shift, monitor call quality, and process donations securely - full training provided
* Help raise vital funds for student support, research and more.

To be successful as Telephone Fundraising Supervisor you will need:
* To be enrolled as a Birkbeck student or recent graduate
* Experience in telephone fundraising at Birkbeck (preferred)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Happy to commit to working all shifts through our 3 week calling campaign
* Passionate about Birkbeck and have understanding for the need of fundraising in higher education sector.

Contract: This is a part-time, fixed-term role until December 2025, working 21 hours per week, during a 3-week calling period from 3 November - involves the supervision of all shifts which run Monday-Thursday 5:30-8:30pm, and Saturday 1:30-5:30pm at the University's office in Bloomsbury, Euston, London. You may also be asked to assist in other related duties before and after the main calling campaign.
The successful candidate will need to help with training at Birkbeck on Thursday 30 October, 9:30-1:30pm and online on Friday 31 October, 9:30-2:30pm.

Salary and benefits: £17.34 per hour, for hours worked - actual. (The rate of pay is made up of £15.44 plus £1.90 per hour for accrued annual leave.) The salary quoted is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
