The Vacancy Relief Team Leader - The Heathers (Armagh) Contract Type: Relief Hours: 0 (Flexible / As and When Required) Location: Armagh Learning/Intellectual Disability & Autism Services Inspire is seeking a compassionate and motivated Relief Team Leader to support the effective running of our services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. You will work alongside the Area Manager to ensure high-quality, person-centred support and act as the responsible lead in their absence. This role follows a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. What Makes The Heathers Special? The Heathers is a peaceful yet lively community, home to 23 residents across six accommodation groups. Each resident has their own level of independence, with support tailored to their needs. Some live in individual accommodation with outdoor patio spaces, while others enjoy community living in shared houses. Our staff don't just provide supportthey accompany residents on adventures, celebrate life's milestones, and help them discover new passions. Some of the unique experiences our team supports include: ? Trips to the cinema, zoo, gym, and local tourist attractions ? BBQs, birthday parties, and community events ? Attending Patrick's Day parades and seasonal celebrations ? Supporting service users on holidays ? Engaging in hobbies like singing, dancing, drawing, and gardening ? Participating in community groups like 'Triple A' (Autism Action Armagh), coffee mornings, exhibitions, and fundraisers ? Outdoor adventures, from woodland walks at Gosford Park to sports at Fit 4 You Key Responsibilities Customer & Client Support Build positive, professional relationships and provide empathetic, person-centred support. Maintain a therapeutic environment and support wellbeing through individual care plans. Work collaboratively with statutory professionals and ensure consistent Positive Behaviour Support. Respond appropriately to behaviours that challenge and support staff during and after incidents. Promote independence, community participation, healthy lifestyles and social inclusion. Support daily living skills, budgeting, tenancies, activities, and infection-control standards. Develop care/support plans and risk assessments. Leadership & Team Coordination Lead by example, role-modelling Inspire's values. Support staff development, supervision, induction and performance expectations. Assist with rota planning, allocation of duties and key worker responsibilities. Ensure effective communication and maintain a positive, empowering team culture. Contribute to decision-making and promote high-quality, innovative service delivery. Operational Duties Manage resources effectively and follow policies, procedures and medication guidelines. Complete reviews, maintain accurate records, and support financial responsibilities on shift. Attend partnership meetings and share relevant information appropriately. Work flexibly and travel to other Inspire locations when required. Teamwork & Wellbeing Encourage teamwork, positive relationships and collaborative working.
