SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Bournemouth – June Start
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with an EHCP on a full-time basis from June until the end of the academic year.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to a child with additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and feel supported within the classroom environment.
The Role:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP
* Adapt learning activities to meet the child’s individual needs
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies
* Support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
* Help manage behaviour positively and effectively
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN (school or similar setting)
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
