Hays Property & Surveying are pleased to be working with a leading Local Authority to provide an Interim Maintenance Surveyor within Central Hampshire.
Your new role
As a Building Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a residential housing portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Building Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
1. Diagnosing and specifying day-to-day repairs
2. Conducting stock condition and measured surveys
3. Managing contractors and ensuring value for money
4. Advising on building-related legislation and health & safetypliance
5. Using IT systems to update data and produce reports
What you'll need to succeed
6. Experience in residential housing property maintenance
7. Solid understanding of building construction and pathology
8. Knowledge of relevant legislation, including asbestos and working at height regulations
9. Ability to manage contractors and resolve disputes
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and surveying software
11. Strong planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills
