We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the school from January 2025. This full-time role is perfect for someone passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to a vibrant primary setting.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils through small-group intervention work
Delivering phonics sessions using structured schemes
Leading early reading groups
Working in partnership with class teachers to raise attainment
Creating a positive, engaging learning environment
Providing tailored support to pupils with varying academic needsThis is a fantastic opportunity to develop your classroom skills and make a measurable impact on pupils' progress, particularly in early literacy.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Have previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting
Hold a relevant TA qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) – preferred but not essential
Be confident delivering phonics and supporting early reading
Be patient, proactive, and committed to helping children succeed
Work well as part of a friendly and collaborative team

You will be paid the permanent equivalent for the job after 12 weeks, in many cases from day one
