We are working with a dynamic and growing company specialising in liquid and powder handling process solutions. Our client’s expertise spans various industries, including food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, breweries, bakeries, dairies, and utilities across the UK.
Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the Process Engineering Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end design solutions for the liquid and powder process industry. As a Process Engineer, you’ll drive process design tasks, ensuring team performance aligns with project plans while maintaining budget and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Excellence: Specify pump and heat exchanger characteristics, implementing hygienic design standards.
* Process Standards: Develop and enhance our clients' Process Engineering standards and procedures.
* Precision Calculations: Create accurate detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, and drawings to meet technology requirements.
* Innovation: Collaborate closely with Engineering teams and R&D to pioneer new process technologies.
* Customer Collaboration: Assist in developing basic engineering packages, including process parameters, heat and mass balances, process specifications, P&ID development, and process safety design.
* Quality Focus: Ensure all process design, development, and validation adhere to our Quality Management System.
* Performance Metrics: Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in chemical/food Process Engineering or a predicted Chemical/Process qualification with a minimum 2:1 classification.
* Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ City & Guilds).
