Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes are currently recruiting for a Production Engineer for our client in central Bristol. They are a specialist manufacturer with a strong 75-year history of high quality and innovative products and services, with a strong people culture. In recent years, the business has been undergoing an accelerating series of transformative changes including investment in new management structures and processes, new facilities and plant, a new ERP system and a torrent of new products
The Role:
The job will be based on problem solving throughout our production environment. Using assembly issues and problems to drive improvements throughout the business, improve efficiencies, and drive down costs. Responsibilities include:
* Utilise fault finding skills to develop and improve assembly processes and techniques
* Plan, manage, and oversee new product introduction, modifications to existing products, supporting production with engineering needs
* Generating and maintaining documentation (BOM’s, BOO’s, SOP’s)
* Optimise efficiency of machinery, processes, and people
* Follow product specifications and develop and implement QC measures
* Support engineering and design
* Work closely with engineering and production to ensure that equipment reliability and repeatability is maintained at the optimum level
* Provide training and support to operators and team leaders in the operation of new equipment or processes
* Drive continuous improvement culture and Lean manufacturing techniques/ principles throughout the business.
About you:
* Experienced engineer in a production/industrial environment
* Experienced in problem solving, process engineering, and data analysis for improvement
* Knowledge of Lean, Gemba, Kaizan, Six Sigma, 5s
* Ability to lead and direct employees
* Excellent communication skills
* Project Management experience is advantageous

* Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm
