An exciting opportunity to join a global healthcare business developing innovative medical technologies supporting Womens Health and Fertility solutions. This is a hands-on R&D engineering role focused on the design, development and improvement of advanced electro-mechanical medical devices.
Candidates MUST already be based in Cornwall or willing to relocate to Cornwall at their own expense.
The Role:
Youll join a collaborative R&D team working on next-generation medical devices, supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Design and development of electrical and electronic systems
* Circuit schematic design and PCB layout (Altium or similar)
* Verification & validation testing of medical devices
* EMC & electrical safety compliance (IEC 60601)
* Hardware/software integration and debugging
* Prototype development, testing and troubleshooting
* Technical documentation, protocols and reports
* Cross-functional collaboration with global engineering teams
What Were Looking For:
* Degree qualified in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics or similar
* Experience in electronic design within medical devices or regulated industries
* Strong analog and digital circuit design experience
* PCB design experience using Altium or similar tools
* Experience with verification testing and design documentation
* Hands-on engineering mindset with prototyping and debugging skills
* Knowledge of DFMA and product development processes
* Firmware development experience highly desirable
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
