We are excited to welcome a caring, creative and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to a team from September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about early learning to make a real difference in the lives of young children.


Duties as KS1 Teacher:

1. Teach and assess the KS1 curriculum effectively, ensuring good progress for all pupils
2. Deliver structured, systematic phonics sessions
3. Use formative and summative assessment to plan next steps and inform reporting
4. Provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
5. Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and needs
6. Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
7. Work in partnership with support staff and parents to support every child
8. Participate fully in the life of the school, including trips, events and CPD


Ideal KS1 Teacher:

1. Has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development
2. Can plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet pupils’ needs
3. Has experience or interest in teaching phonics and early reading (e.g. Little Wandle/RWI)
4. Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families
5. Is organised, reflective and a strong team player as a KS1 Teacher
6. Has high expectations for all learners, in both achievement and behaviour
