We are recruiting for Health Records Clerks to be based in our Health Records Clerk Department in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. The current contracts that are available are: 2 x full time - 37.5 hours per week, 1 x part time - 15 hours per week (16:30 - 19:30).
Previous experience in a record keeping role is not required, as on the job training will be provided. You will primarily begin your training in our Filing Library and then be exposed to other duties within the department.
Responsibilities
* Filing and retrieving patient records, locating, and providing patient records for all outpatient appointments, planned admissions and day case attendances.
* Preparation of patient records for outpatient/inpatient attendances.
* Operation of a computerised patients administration system, including inputting and retrieval of data.
* Dealing with telephone queries.
* Scanning of patient records to support the Health Records Digitisation project.
Applicants must possess excellent organisational, inter‑personal and numerical skills. A flexible approach to working and working hours is required. Applicants should be prepared to undertake additional duties as and when required. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is vital.
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Good standard of education to include Maths and English GCSE or demonstrable literacy & numeracy skills.
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
* Knowledge of general administrative/office duties, including filing systems.

* Flexible to the needs of the service.
* Welsh Speaker (Level 1) – speaking Welsh is desirable but not compulsory; opportunities to acquire Welsh language skills will be provided.

£26,300 per annum (pro rata if part time).
