We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director to join our team within Vistry North Midlands, at our office in Castle Donington. As our Finance Director, you will be a key member of the business unit’s leadership team and a Business Partner to the Managing Director. The role involves developing and implementing the business unit’s strategy, owning financial forecasts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insight and challenge to the senior management team.

What we expect from you...
* Behave in line with our values – Integrity, Caring, and Quality
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
* IT literate, including MS Excel and Outlook
* Commercial and business partnering experience in industry
* Experience with financial controls, process improvement, and forecasting
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS, and joint venture accounting
* Excellent communication skills, able to articulate financial results up to Board level
* Experience leading a finance team in a matrix management structure
* Effective communicator with both finance and non-finance professionals
* Drive and ambition to deliver results
Desirable skills...
* Experience with COINS finance system
* Background in construction or housebuilding industry
Role responsibilities include...
* Partner with the Managing Director and board directors, providing performance insights and challenge
* Monitor KPIs to ensure targets are met
* Review development performance, costs, revenue, and risks
* Support land acquisitions and new business due diligence
* Prepare financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
* Manage cash flow and financial reporting
* Represent financial reports at board meetings
* Maintain a robust financial control environment
* Oversee financial accounting and compliance
* Manage joint ventures and operations reporting
* Lead the finance team and oversee external audits
* Coordinate with Group finance for consistent policies
* Attend various meetings and presentations as needed
