Hours: Part time (2.5 days per week)

Following a highly successful pilot project earlier this year, we're thrilled to be growing our vital services to include support for parents who are looking to return to work after starting a family, and we're looking for a passionate Part-time Employment Support Advisor to lead the way.

Key Functions and Owned Responsibilities
To ensure the success of our Parents Employability Program and meet its ambitious objectives, the essential functions and responsibilities against which your performance will be measured are as follows:
* Project Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure optimal support for our projects, contributing to their successful establishment and ongoing impact.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Referrals: Act as the primary contact for DWP and local partner organisations in the central Borders area. This involves proactively identifying referrals and assessing potential clients to develop appropriate, personalised outcomes for each.
* Workshop Delivery: Manage and deliver engaging workshops, including CV writing, mock interviews, and other relevant skill-building sessions tailored to the diverse needs of our client base.
* Programme Development: Collaborate with the Project Manager to contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of programmes specifically relevant to the clients we support, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our participants.
* Strategic Contribution: Work alongside the Project Manager to evaluate and shape the ongoing strategic direction for the Parents Employability Program, providing valuable insights to be shared with the Works+ Board of Trustees.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Accurately record relevant information relating to participants' employment journeys, create comprehensive reports detailing outcomes and engagement for each group, and track progress as part of our crucial aftercare service.
Secondary Functions
* In conjunction with the Project Manager, provide practical assistance to clients with benefits applications, job applications, and bursary applications.
* In conjunction with the Project Manager, effectively 'signpost' participants to appropriate support functions and opportunities within the local community and wider Scottish Borders.
Reporting
You will report directly to the Project Manager for support and ongoing performance appraisal.
