Head of Systems Engineering - Cell Therapy
My client is enabling scalable, cost-effective and efficient manufacturing of cell and gene therapies. Their technology addresses the challenges associated with manufacturing at scale with a robotic manufacturing automation solution that reduces costs, labour, eliminates human error, and increases efficiency.
As Head of Systems Engineering, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the senior leadership team. Reporting to the CTO and collaborating closely with the executive leadership team, development teams and customers, you’ll be the crucial link between vision and reality. You’ll be responsible for defining processes for systems engineering and leading the development of the system definition.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the systems engineering team in systems definition, requirements engineering, system architecture, and the identification and management of modular interfaces
* Defining and implementing a comprehensive systems engineering strategy aligned with the business objectives and roadmap
* Work closely with multiple cross-functional departments, including hardware, software, robotics, and quality teams, making cross-disciplinary trade-offs to best meet system and company goals
Requirements
* Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements through to project completion
* Expertise in systems engineering, with a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, software, and automation systems
* Experience with generation of technical documentation
* Strong leadership & management skills
* Experience within a highly regulated industry, defence, medical device etc.
