A leading UK-based manufacturer and assembler of power distribution switchgear solutions is seeking a skilled Tendering Engineer to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will support commercial and technical bidding operations.
Role Overview
As a Tendering Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive technical and commercial proposals for low and medium voltage switchgear projects. You will work closely with internal engineering, sales, and project management teams to develop bids that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage tenders and quotations for LV/MV switchgear and associated equipment
* Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and scope documents to develop accurate proposals
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to gather all necessary information for tenders
* Perform cost analysis and ensure commercial viability of each tender
* Ensure all proposals comply with relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements
* Support post-tender negotiations and handover to project delivery teams
The Ideal Applicant
The ideal candidate will have a background in Tender Engineering, preferably with knowledge of the LV Switchgear industry. Alternatively, consideration will be given to ex-field engineers from an install or maintenance perspective of power distribution products. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to build successful customer relationships.
