Salary : £46 824 (part-time of 4 days per week/36 hours pro-rata considered)
Reports to: Head of Psychotherapy
We are seeking to recruit a Psychotherapist for our residential therapeutic community in London. This is an exciting time to join us as we seek to expand our psychotherapy provision within the service. We are looking for a fully qualified clinician who can work with adults experiencing high levels of distress, often in highly charged situations, while maintaining the ability to think and support those around them. Your skills will be highly regarded, and you will be offered excellent continuous professional development opportunities.
We are a dynamic and creative organisation. We work with adults experiencing severe emotional distress, many of whom have diagnoses of psychosis or personality disorder, and often with drug and/or alcohol dependency. Our model is based on housing, community, and psychotherapy, and influenced by Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE’s), Therapeutic Communities, recovery, and neuro-psychodynamic theory. The Community Psychotherapist/Psychologist is the clinical lead for the service, and will work alongside the Service Manager to develop, maintain and lead a psychologically informed environment to the highest clinical standards. Some of the daily activities as Community Psychotherapist include (but are not limited to);
providing one-to-one psychodynamic psychotherapy sessions for residents
assessing potential new residents into the community
We are looking for a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist/Integrative Psychotherapist with a strong emphasis on psychodynamic thinking, or a Clinical Psychologist with additional psychodynamic or psychoanalytic training. As a Psychotherapist, you will hold registration with either the UKCP, HCPC or the BPC or be accredited by the BACP. As a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, you will hold BPS chartered status.
Working as the Community Psychotherapist, you will be accustomed to working with high levels of distress. Ideally, we are looking for a full-time psychotherapist/psychologist to join us, but part-time working of four days a week will be considered for the right candidate.
