We are seeking an experienced and committed SENDCo to join our team for one day per week (0.2), working closely with our Inclusion Lead to strengthen and sustain high-quality inclusive provision. The SENDCo will be line managed by the Inclusion Lead and will work in partnership with the leadership team and wider staff team to ensure SEND provision is strategic, compliant and impactful. Key responsibilities include: Leading and overseeing the day-to-day operation of SEND provision Ensuring the school meets its statutory responsibilities under the SEND Code of Practice Maintaining accurate and up-to-date SEND records and provision maps Coordinating EHCP applications, annual reviews and documentation Supporting teachers to deliver high-quality adaptive teaching Identifying pupils’ needs and advising on appropriate interventions Monitoring and evaluating the impact of SEND provision Liaising with external agencies and professionals Building positive, transparent relationships with parents and carers Contributing to whole-school development priorities relating to inclusion This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on collaboration and guidance. Who We Are Looking For We are seeking someone who: Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is working towards it) Has proven experience as a SENDCo in a primary setting Has a strong understanding of current SEND legislation and inclusive practice Is organised, proactive and solution-focused Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills Is committed to high expectations for all learners Supports and embraces the Christian ethos of the school Believes passionately that every child, like the mustard seed, has the capacity to grow and achieve great things We are looking for a reflective practitioner who can both support and challenge, ensuring that inclusion remains central to our school improvement journey.
