Paralegal - EL/PL role at Clyde & Co. This opportunity is within the biggest, market leading Casualty practice in the UK. Hybrid working: 2 days in our Manchester office and 3 days working from home.

Role: Paralegal
This role will be working in the Employers and Public Liability team within the Casualty region of the firm. The team handles a wide variety of work for major insurers and private nominations. The work is complex and often involves representing household names.

Responsibilities
* Handling a caseload of Employers Liability and Public Liability claims from inception through to closure, under supervision.
* Day to day file management
* Preparing court bundles
* Drafting letters of instruction, requests, Instructions to Counsel
* Preparing briefing notes, action plans, file notes and attendance notes
* Reviewing reports and statements and other relevant documents
* Drafting and proof reading documents
* Liaising with and meeting clients with a high level of professionalism
* Delegation to support services for photocopying, scanning, filing and other administrative tasks
* Conducting research and keeping up to date with legal and industry practices
* Managing day to day deadlines with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ensure files and spreadsheets are maintained and updated including Management Information
* Adhoc tasks as required
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience working in Personal Injury teams is essential
* Previous experience working on matters on the defendant side is desirable but not essential
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent organisational skills
* The ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently by managing time in a fast paced environment
* Willingness to learn and develop skills/knowledge
* A professional manner with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
