Overview
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting a Critical Services Supervisor to join the team in Burgess Hill, United Kingdom. This role oversees the day-to-day work orders and ensures customer satisfaction in critical client environments.
Responsibilities
* Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload and day-to-day activities of the support team to ensure effective delivery of services. Provide holiday, training and sickness cover for other shift team members.
* Review work logs and outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
* Ensure contractors and staff comply with company, client safety, and security requirements. Source new vendors and maintain relationships with current ones.
* Assist with development of critical services training programs.
* Serve as point of contact for client and management escalation.
* Share expertise to help resolve operational problems and improve processes.
* Evaluate Planned Preventative Maintenance assessments and recommend improvements or upgrades.
* Document all out-of-line situations with incident reports.
* Resolve complex problems and identify approaches to achieve team objectives; may establish new techniques to meet objectives.
* Impact team objectives and contribute to related teams; ensure outcomes positively impact customer objectives.
* Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values; guide the team in applying basic knowledge of practices and procedures.
Person Specification
* High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
* City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or equivalent in BS7671:2008 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition).
* Physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs or more).
* In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the job function; basic knowledge of related job functions.
* Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
* Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Excellent organizational skills with a proactive mindset.
