Commercial Accountant

The Opportunity
You’ll join a collaborative finance team, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous process improvements. This is a hands-on position offering strong exposure to the wider business, with real influence on operational and financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the production of monthly and year-end financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
* Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors and advisors
* Contribute to the completion and submission of VAT returns
* Analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting trends and recommending improvements
* Work across departments to identify opportunities for efficiencies and enhanced financial processes
* Maintain accurate financial records, including stock and production-related accounting
About You
* Part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, with a solid grounding in finance
* Strong Excel capability, with experience handling and interpreting complex data sets
* Understanding of end-to-end finance processes, including transactional and reporting elements
* Experience using ERP or finance systems, ideally within a manufacturing or product-based environment
* Commercially minded, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insight
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and keen to continuously improve processes
