Thermotraffic is an international logistics leader specialised in the cold storage and transportation of foodstuffs. It is essential that we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness at all our sites. The role is based at the Bury St Edmunds site and requires a versatile cleaner who can maintain hygiene and record keeping, while developing skills and career opportunities within a skilled and friendly team.
Responsibilities
* Work according to cleaning schedules and the standards demanded by Thermotraffic and its customers
* Work with mechanical handling equipment (including Scissor lift) where necessary and where you are authorised to do so
* Ensure the safe and accurate handling of stock and equipment, with zero handling errors/omissions and no damage to product or equipment
* Perform the de-stuffing of containers and topping up of pallets
* Ensure that products are placed and stored correctly
Maintain timely and open communications with customers and colleagues, advising on changes to the frequency of cleaning or schedules to support a positive team spirit and customer feedback.

Maintaining a clean site is a top priority and you will be provided with tools and support to do a great job. You should be willing to work in a cold store environment and have the accuracy and numeracy to follow procedures that meet company and customer requirements.
Baseline requirements
* Previous experience of warehousing, distribution/logistics is an advantage
* Experience of working in the cold storage industry is desirable but not essential
* Effective spoken and written communication skills
* Ideally hold appropriate mechanical handling certificates and experience, but training can be provided
* Shift: standard day shift is 06.00 to 14.30 hours, with flexibility as hours may change
