DevOps Engineer (AWS) - Bristol - £55,000-£75,000 per year DOE - Site based role

Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for someone with 2–5 years of experience who is looking to further develop their skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and improving cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes, primarily within an AWS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS
* Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
* Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes
* Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability
* Support infrastructure as code (IaC) practices (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
* Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
* Contribute to continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tooling
Required Skills & Experience:
* 2–5 years’ experience in a DevOps or similar role
* Strong experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
* Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
* Experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable
* Solid understanding of Linux systems and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
Role Details:
* Level: Mid-Level (aligned to existing team structure; not suitable for senior candidates)
* Location: Ideally Bristol-based or willing to be onsite full-time
* Start Date: ASAP
* Employment Type: Permanent preferred (contract also considered)
Salary / Day Rate
* Permanent: £50,000 – £75,000 (range allows for progression)
* Contract: £400 – £500 per day - outside scope (IR35)

* Stage 2: Final discussion with senior technical leadership
