This position offers 26.5 hours per week at a salary of £32,412 per annum (FTE £48,925), working from 8am to 5pm.
As a Nurse, you will be part of a close-knit team, utilizing your clinical expertise to take full responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of custodians within a court setting. Your responsibilities include diagnosis, identifying appropriate interventions, maintaining records, and providing clinical advice and guidance in a court environment.
Experience within a prison or secure establishment is advantageous.
Duties include:
1. Adhering to and implementing CQC and local policies and procedures while working within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
2. Applying critical analysis to synthesize complex information during the care process to provide accurate advice, health information, and medication to patients, empowering them to act upon the advice given.
3. Keeping immediate and accurate records of service user enquiries during consultations.
4. Documenting consultation notes accurately and promptly to facilitate appropriate clinical guidance and intervention.
5. Using information sources to support and underpin clinical decision-making.
6. Identifying opportunities for health education during consultations and providing such information either in person or by referring to appropriate healthcare providers.
7. Referring to the Service Delivery Manager, peers, or colleagues as necessary for advice, while maintaining accountability and responsibility for clinical decisions and operational needs.
8. Remaining focused on service delivery while managing an unpredictable, diverse, and challenging workload.
9. Maintaining knowledge of standard procedures and escalating issues affecting service delivery as needed.
